Qualifications: All applicants must be a dependent of an SYEMC member-owner, a member-owner of SYEMC, or a resident of a home served by SYEMC. This is a one-time $500 scholarship; if the tuition is less than the scholarship amount, SYEMC will pay for tuition and fund the cost of boots. Scholarship recipients cannot be an SYEMC employee, board member, or immediate family member (spouse or child) of an employee or board member.
Criteria for awarding the scholarship to an individual is based on 75% need and 25% merit. The application period opens on April 13, with a deadline for submission by May 31. Applications are judged by the SYEMC Community Projects Committee.
